Google is going to make it possible for all users to keep the data of a work and private profile separate. From next year you will be able to switch between your work and private apps on your smartphone via separate tabs.
Separating work and private life on Android
Google Workspace is very useful, because you can easily use all your work apps in addition to your private apps on your phone. Everything easily within reach, only you risk being tempted in the late hours by all those work apps that stare at you on your smartphone. That will come to an end for all Workspace users from 2022.
In a blog post Google announces that from next year you can separate your apps for your work and private accounts. The apps from your work profile come in a separate tab on the app drawer on your phone, so your buddy can switch between the two.
availabilty
This feature was previously available to Workspace users, but only when their company IT team explicitly activates this feature for accounts. This will no longer be necessary from 2022, because the corona pandemic has made Google realize that this function has added value for everyone. It is unknown when this feature will be rolled out next year.
