Zoom has now made live captioning available to everyone in its video conferencing service. You can display English text in real-time. It works for free users as well as for the customers who pay for it.
Zoom live subtitles
Zoom has now rolled out its live captioning feature to a large group of users. It is now possible for anyone video calling with Zoom to turn on the subtitles for English speakers and text will then be generated automatically and in real-time.
The well-known video conferencing service says it is important to connect everyone in the world and breaking the language barriers is a logical step. According to Zoom, it is also the intention that the live subtitles will eventually be rolled out more widely and will work for more languages. It is not yet known whether it will soon also work for Dutch.

The live captions are available to both subscribers and free users and can be found in video conferences and webinars. If you use Zoom for your work, it is important that your admin at the IT service first activates the feature. Although you can always ask during meetings in the toolbar via a request to turn on the subtitles.
