It’s no secret that Windows 11 looks very different from Windows 10. For some people, such a switch can cause confusion. That’s why it might be a good idea to make Windows 11 look a little more like Windows 10. This should work with these steps.
For example, the taskbar is now in the middle. You can move that bar back to the left side by going to the Settings app (Windows key + i). Under the personalization options you will find the options for the taskbar. By scrolling down a bit you arrive at a heading with which you determine the behavior of the bar. Open the options and indicate that you want the bar on the left. Under the same heading you also control which items are in the taskbar. You can add or remove four icons: search, chat, widgets and task view. By moving the toggles on the right, you remove or add icons.

Start menu and rounded corners
Changing the Windows 11 taskbar brings you one step closer to the Windows 10 experience. But did you know that you can also restore the start menu to its former glory? All you have to do for this is the open source program Open Shell to download and install. That program brings back the familiar design. During the installation, please uncheck Classic Explorer and Classic IE, otherwise the program will make even more changes. After installing, select the Windows 7 start menu and choose a skin you like. Admittedly, the menu is now more like Windows 7, but you might like this better than Windows 11.
Don’t like the round corners either? Then we unfortunately have bad news: currently there is no option that brings the rounded corners back to their square glory days. But with a detour you can remove them anyway. Go to Device Settings and open Display adapters. Disable the graphics adapters in your system here. The screen then flickers for a while, but then those rounded corners have really disappeared. This is not a real attacker, because this also makes the transparent menus disappear and Windows 11 suddenly feels very slow. You can also not use applications that use 3D graphics and you can only play games again when you activate the adapters again.
Finally, you can always change the background of your computer or laptop with Windows 11 on-board. Download the most popular or iconic wallpapers from Windows 10 and simply set it as your new wallpaper. You change a background by setting personal settings or by downloading an image and then setting it.
