Het Korreltje Zout: ‘no more Apple event in 2021’ and more

When it comes to Apple, there are countless rumors every day. Whether it concerns the products of the company or the company itself: it is discussed in the corridors every day. Exactly the reason why we at One More Thing The Grain of Salt have brought into being.

In this edition we talk about the release date of the iPhone SE 3, we again deal with a handy Apple Watch feature and Bloomberg comes with Apple’s further planning in 2021.

No more Apple event in 2021

There will be no more Apple events before the end of 2021. At least, that’s what Bloomberg journalist Mark Bloomberg puts out. Last week the Unleashed event was held where we could get acquainted with the new MacBook Pro and the AirPods 3. A pleasant event that, according to the journalist’s sources, we have to live on for the time being.

Gurman doesn’t expect Apple to host another event in 2021 or come up with any bigger product launches. A big difference with how the company approached it in 2020, so.

When will the iPhone SE 3 be released?

In the previous edition of Het Korrtje Zout, which appeared last Friday, we were introduced to the new iPhone SE 3. It then became clear that the smartphone is expected to have a recognizable design. According to sources, the cheaper smartphone has the appearance of the iPhone XR.

Now the Chinese MyDrivers comes with a follow-up story and it also seems to know when Apple will release the smartphone. Consumers can get started with the device from the spring of 2022 for the same price as the current model. That means a price tag of €492.10. Provided the rumors are correct, of course.

Apple Watch Series 8 with glucose meter

In an article on DigiTimes, which is behind the paywall, it becomes clear that the Apple Watch Series 8 will get a new feature. We receive that news through MacRumors. Suppliers inform DigiTimes that they are working on a new sensor that can measure glucose in your blood.

Earlier this year, the same rumor appeared, but for the Series 7. It eventually became clear that Apple was not going to meet this deadline and the functionality was ultimately not on the model. Time will tell whether the fork is different this time.
