Internet banking at ING

With the My ING website, customers of the bank ING can do internet banking. Easily transfer money and view debits.

All ING customers can bank via the site My ING or via the ING Mobile Banking app. In this article we discuss how banking via the website works.

If you want to start online banking with ING, you need some information that you can request via ING .’s website. The use of My ING is free for private individuals. Business customers do pay for internet banking.

My ING recommends the following operating systems and internet programs:

  • Windows 10 + Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Firefox
  • MacOS 10.10 + Safari, Google Chrome or Firefox (latest released version)

Certain functions may not work (properly) on other operating systems and in other browsers.

Follow these steps to log in to My ING:

  • Go to https://mijn.ing.nl
  • The My ING login screen opens. Log in with a username and password.
    • Enter your username in the ‘Username’ field. You received this by post from ING. After logging in for the first time, you can change your username in My ING.
    • Enter your password. You can still change the password.
  • You can have your username saved on the computer. Put a checkmark for that Remember my username. Your password is usually not saved for security reasons.

Do you also bank via the app for mobile devices? A screen will appear stating ‘Confirm with your app’ and ‘Open the Mobile Banking App’.

  • Open the app on the smartphone or tablet.
  • Click here Confirm.
  • click on Log out to close the app or click Stay in the app if you want to do mobile banking at the same time.

After logging in, you will be taken to the main My ING screen. In the middle of the screen are your ING accounts. All checking accounts at the top (if you have more) and any savings accounts below. You see the names, the account number and the current balance on the right. In the left bar are some options.

Click on an account to view the credits and debits. Above the mutations is a search bar. Use this to search for special debits and credits. The ‘Look ahead’ function gives an idea of ​​which depreciations and payments can be expected. The system is based on recurring mutations. So it gives an impression, but is not terribly reliable if you want to know for sure what is coming in terms of expenses and income.

After typing a search query in the bar and clicking To search hits appear up to a few months ago. If you want to search further or search more extensively, click on View all results. An option will appear to search more accurately.

Transferring money to another account is easy.

  • Click at the top New transfer.

  • A new window opens. Enter the amount, name and account number of the beneficiary here. Click on the arrow next to ‘One time’ if the payment has to be made every week or month, for example.
  • Create another order? click on Save, New assignment and fill in the form again.
  • Finished? click on Send.
  • A notification will appear that the payment is ready in the app. Start the app on the phone and follow the instructions. Not using the app? Then follow the instructions on the screen and, if necessary, enter the TAN code that you received via SMS or that are on your paper list.

Have you scheduled multiple assignments? Then you will see an overview, the so-called ‘Shipping list’. Check all assignments and click Send.

Would you like to view the Shipping List at another time? Then click in the menu on the left Assignments. You will see an overview of the payment orders. Click on an assignment to see more information. click on remove to revoke a transfer.

Want to see what recurring commands you’ve entered? Then do the following:

  • Click on Payments in the menu on the left.
  • Under ‘Scheduled’ you can see which assignments will return on a weekly or monthly basis, for example. Click on a command and on Modify to modify it.
  • Click the trash can icon next to the command > OK to pull it all in.

You must log out after internet banking. Click the button at the top right Log out .
