The American company Hagerty has tipped ten cars that are most likely to increase in value next year. There are also very ordinary cars among them.
Hagerty is known worldwide for his accurate analyzes of the classic car market. The company keeps statistics of sales prices of hundreds of classic car models. This shows the price trend per model. Once a year they also venture a prediction of which classics have the greatest chance of an increase in value in the coming years. That moment has now come again.
The least surprising models on the list are the Ferrari 246 Dino from 1969-1974 and the Pontiac GTO from 1966 and 1967. Both cars are now almost impossible to buy for under €90,000 when in excellent condition. A Dino quickly costs more than €300,000. However, there are also quite affordable cars on it. For example, the Suzuki Samurai that was on the market from 1985 to 1995, which is already for sale in the Netherlands from a few thousand euros. The model already rose in value by five percent in 2021, but this percentage is expected to rise further in the coming years. The Land Rover Defender from the years 1983-1997 is also on the list. In many cases you now pay less than €10,000 for one of these.
