The Samsung Galaxy A13 has been presented, it is one of the cheapest devices from Samsung’s line-up, but there are many improvements compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy A13 gets a larger Full HD screen, a new camera and more powerful performance. It costs at least 189 euros.

A new budget smartphone is ready: the Galaxy A13. it is the successor to the popular Galaxy A12. First of all, the A13 has been given a more modern look with its camera setup that is reminiscent of that of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The phone also has a microSD slot, a fingerprint scanner on the side and a 3.5mm audio jack. Samsung has also given the screen a major update. The 6.5 inch HD panel was replaced by a 6.6 inch LCD screen with a Full HD resolution of 2408 x 1200 pixels.
In addition, the Galaxy A13 has also received a slightly more powerful chipset, namely an Exynos 850 that we have seen before in the Galaxy A21s and the M12. It is a chipset that again comes without a 5G modem. There is also a variant of the Galaxy A13 that does work with the faster internet, but it has not been announced in the Netherlands. The Galaxy A13 with 4G has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage.

Large battery and Android 12
A strong aspect of the A12 was the battery life and the Galaxy A13 again gets a 5,000 mAh battery. Samsung is also announcing a new Adaptive Power Saving feature that makes your phone even more energy efficient. That’s a good move, because the higher screen resolution means that the phone will use slightly more energy than its predecessor. The Galaxy A13 again has a 15W fast charger. The device comes with the new OneUI 4.1 out of the box, which is Samsung’s software shell based on Android 12.
The camera setup of the Galaxy A13 has also been upgraded. There is now a 50MP main camera and the phone comes with a 5MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth camera. The selfie camera is an 8 MP one.
