Boarding from just under 59 mille

The Lexus ES is finely ground on a level of detail. Now the first prices of the upgraded hybrid sedan are also known. The Lexus ES of the latest model year has a starting price of just under 59 grand.
€58,995. That is the minimum amount that Lexus wants to receive for the further improved Lexus ES in detail. For just under €59,000 you get the Lexus ES as a Business Line. This version is specifically aimed at the business driver and has all the equipment of the regular basic version with a number of extras. For example, the Business Line has a 12.3-inch multimedia screen, an induction charger and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Lexus ES 300h Comfort Line
Then the Comfort Line, which is the basic version for private individuals. The Comfort Line lives up to its name, things like leather upholstery, an electrically operated sliding/tilting roof, keyless Entry and electrically adjustable and heated front seats are standard. It doesn’t stop there. The €59,995 Lexus ES Comfort Line also has a heated steering wheel, front and rear parking beepers, 17-inch alloy wheels and an 8-inch infotainment screen. That infotainment system is completely new and refers the trackpad previously housed in the center tunnel to the wastebasket. Among other things, cup holders will be replaced and the induction charger will also be moved there.
Does the Comfort Line have more to offer? Yes. A whole range of passive and active safety systems are also standard. The list includes adaptive cruise control, Lane Tracing Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring. Furthermore, the rear doors have darkened windows and Lexus gives the ES Comfort Line a special air purification system. For comparison: the BMW 5-series with 184 hp mild-hybrid powertrain has a starting price of about €64 mille in the Netherlands.
Lexus ES 300h
Lexus ES 300h F Sport Design
Then there is the new version introduced during the small renewal round: the F Sport Design. The F Sport Design includes 19-inch alloy wheels, special F Sport Design badges on the front fenders. This sportier-decorated F Sport Design – which will therefore come under the F Sport whose prices we do not yet have – costs €63,495. For the Audi A6 Limousine with 204 hp mild hybrid powertrain you pay – for the Pro Line – at least €64,604.
Lexus ES 300h with optional digital door mirrors, only optional on the President Line. Previously, the Lexus ES was also available as a Luxury Line, Executive Line and as a top taste President Line. At the time of writing, the prices of those versions – if they return – are not yet known. We are awaiting a response from the importer. Fun fact: the ES is available with digital door mirrors, although they are only available for an additional fee on the President Line.
Lexus ES 300h
Regardless of the chosen version, the Lexus ES is always a 300h. The Lexus ES 300h has a 218 hp hybrid powertrain that consists of a 178 hp and 221 Nm strong 2.5 four-cylinder engine that works together with a 120 hp and 202 hp electric motor. The ES 300h sprints to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and has a top speed of 180 km/h. Average consumption on paper is 5.3 to 5.6 l/100 km, depending on the version chosen. Pretty reasonable for a more than 1,650 kilograms weighing and almost 5 meters long sedan.
