The German tuner Hofele traditionally gives Mercedes cars a somewhat more unique appearance with a combination of sporty and chic. In the Mercedes G-class they have now tried that too. Hofele also added a striking gadget to the car.
The Mercedes G-class lends itself perfectly to the creative minds of various car tuners and usually produces decent samples. At Hofele we can only speak of a fairly subtle approach. The other grill with the Hofele logo, the widened wheel arches with carbon fiber accents and the 24-inch wheels give away that there is no standard G-class here. The front bumper is also clearly different and now houses a – in accordance with the well-known Hofele style – chrome-framed zipper air intakes.
The most striking aspect of this approached G-class is the running board. It can move. The whole comes forward electronically to facilitate entry into the SUV. As can be seen in photo 2, the exhaust ends come with the running board. According to Hofele, they are therefore attached to the footboard and not directly to the exhaust itself, but slide up and down over the exhaust when the footboard is extended or retracted. According to the tuner, it is a new invention that the entire running board can move in this way and it is therefore patented by the tuner.
