Good news if you have AirPods and a Nothing Phone 1. With the latest update you get a cool feature!
Nothing Phone 1 has cool AirPods feature
An update has been released for the Nothing Phone 1, you know: the iPhone look-a-like with the LED patches on the back. With the Nothing OS 1.1.7 update, a new feature has become available for your AirPods!
When your AirPods connect to the Nothing Phone 1, you will now see the battery percentage of the earbuds on the smartphone. This is also possible on the iPhone, but then you first have to work with the battery widget (or you can check it in the settings of your AirPods).
On the Nothing Phone 1, showing the battery percentage is still an experimental feature. You must therefore enable the function by going to ‘Settings > Experimental Features’. Another interesting detail: earlier this year, the Nothing earplugs (the Nothing Ear 1) also received support for Siri.
This is the Nothing Phone 1
The Nothing Phone (1) is quite similar to the iPhone 14. Both devices have a flat aluminum side, with similar buttons. The back of both devices is glossy, but with the Nothing Phone (1) the material is partially transparent. This will show you some internal parts of the phone.
Glyph interface
What’s really cool (except now the AirPods feature): The Nothing Phone (1) has a ‘Glyph interface’. This is the name of the white LED lights on the back. These lights are incorporated in a number of strips.
The nice thing about these lights is that you can make them light up in different patterns. You can do this with certain contacts, for example, or use the lights as camera light when taking pictures. It is a striking feature that no other smartphone currently offers.
