Mercedes-Benz has been working on a refresher for the EQV, the electrically powered equivalent of the V-class, for some time now. The appearance of the Mercedes-Benz EQV changes minimally, there may be more technical news in the pipeline.

Long before Mercedes-Benz pulled the curtain on its electric flagships EQS, EQE and their SUV variants, an electric V-class appeared. It was baptized Mercedes-Benz EQV and, in addition to the electric powertrain, it distinguishes itself from the V-class with a somewhat different nose. The slightly revised EQV will soon be presented, which can then be used again for a few years. We can especially hope for slightly improved technology.

The Mercedes-Benz EQV now has a battery pack with a net capacity of 90 kWh. Quite large and enough for an electric driving range of 355 km (WLTP). There is a good chance that a somewhat more efficient energy management in the facelifted EQV will increase the range somewhat. In terms of charging, the EQV with 110 kW fast charging capacity is already quite good, but some gains may have been made there as well.

As mentioned, the external changes are expected to be not too bad. We see a little more of it now than last summer. The taped nose may mean that the front bumper is arranged slightly differently and Mercedes probably points out the grille, which is largely finished in glossy black. Furthermore, the headlights get a slightly different interpretation, with slightly higher dipped beams and a thinner strip of LED lighting above it for the daytime running lights. We expect the unveiling of the revised Mercedes-Benz EQV to be early next year at the earliest.
