Spy shots Mercedes-Benz EQA

The smallest electric car that Mercedes-Benz has on offer is about to undergo a facelift. The updated Mercedes-Benz EQA can already be seen in these photos, but you don’t have to count on major external adjustments.

2,047 pieces. How many copies of the EQA has Mercedes-Benz sold in the Netherlands to date. That is not a very large number, but the electric Mercedes-Benz EQA will not be for sale in our country for a long time. The first units were signed in February 2021, so the EQA made its market debut at a time when the delivery time of new cars was (and still is). Despite the fact that the EQA is still quite young, extensive thought has already been given to the facelifted version in Stuttgart, which you can already see in these photos.

Spy shots Mercedes-Benz GLA

The GLA has also been photographed in a camouflage suit.

Why Mercedes-Benz updated the EQA so early? That undoubtedly has to do with the GLA of which it is in fact the electric version. After all, the Mercedes-Benz GLA was presented more than a year earlier. In addition, the A and B Class – sister models in the Mercedes-Benz compact model family – have recently undergone a facelift. The facelifted GLA has already driven past our spy photographer’s lens in a camouflage suit and then the EQA can of course not be left behind.

What applies to the already presented updated A and B class will undoubtedly also apply to the GLA and EQA. That means you don’t have to expect intensive external adjustments. Count on renewed bumpers of both the regular versions and the sportier AMG-Line versions. The headlights are subtly redesigned and the taillights seem to get a new light signature. You can also count on the arrival of a renewed MBUX infotainment system. The arrival of that system also means the disappearance of the touchpad to control it. After all, it already cleared the field in the A and B class.

Powertrains

The Mercedes-Benz EQA is available in the Netherlands with a relatively large number of powertrains. The electric crossover is available as a 190 hp EQA 250 with a 66.5 kWh battery and as the EQA 250+ visible in these photos. It also has a 190 hp electric motor, but it gets its zest for life from a larger 70.5 kWh battery. Higher up the ladder are the 228 hp EQA 300 and the 292 hp EQA 350. They both have the 66.5 kWh battery, which makes the EQA 250+ a special model. It is therefore not entirely surprising that the EQA 250+ is the version with the largest range (up to 529 kilometers).
