Apple Watch Ultra gets a new screen
Last year, Apple launched the Apple Watch Ultra: at € 933.95, the most expensive Apple Watch ever, which is mainly intended for athletes. The watch is made of titanium, so it can handle all circumstances. Apple is reportedly now working on a second-generation Apple Watch Ultra.

With a 1.93-inch (49 mm) display, the first-generation Apple Watch Ultra already had the largest screen on an Apple Watch ever. Apple now plans to make the screen of the second generation Apple Watch Ultra even bigger: the watch will have a 2.1-inch (54 mm) display. So quite an expansion.
New Apple Watch Ultra gets micro-LED display
Not only the screen size is adjusted with the new Apple Watch Ultra, because Apple is also completely overhauling the display. The current Apple Watch Ultra still has an OLED screen, the new Apple Watch Ultra will probably have a microLED screen.
Microled can best be described as the better version of OLED, with the great advantage that the danger of screen burn-in is much smaller. Apple plans to produce these screens itself, so that the company becomes less dependent on other manufacturers. Apple’s screens get brighter, brighter colors and a wider viewing angle.
Just a little patience: Apple Watch Ultra 2 won’t arrive until 2024
The new Apple Watch Ultra is still waiting, because the watch will probably not appear until next year. MicroLED screens are currently more expensive than OLED screens, so Apple still needs time to reduce production costs. Moreover, the company is currently mainly focusing on the launch of Apple Reality.
