The real deal?
Photos have surfaced on Instagram that may show the successor to the Lamborghini Aventador. The patent plates that AutoWeek previously obtained seem to confirm that we are indeed seeing the new top model from Lamborghini here.
Less than a month ago, the first patent drawings of the successor to the Lamborghini Aventador surfaced. It was already clear what we can expect from it. In any case, a lot clearer than on the photos of a testing prototype. Now, however, the new topper from Lamborghini is completely open and exposed appeared on the internet. It seems to be an official image, possibly cut out from a folder. After all, the car we see perfectly matches the car on the patent plates.
As expected, the successor to the Aventador will have a typical Lamborghini coach and is even relatively conservative (for a Lamborghini) in the front. It is striking that the daytime running lights are in a kind of tilted Y-shape separate from the actual headlights, just like with the SÃan. At the rear again that Y-shape, but then at the rear lights. For once, they are not connected via an unbroken LED strip – as it seems to be heard nowadays – but roughly separated halfway through by two huge tailpipes.
Those exhausts almost certainly still emit the scream of a V12, but not always anymore. After all, the new top Lamborghini will be a hybrid, so count on it being partly electric and therefore virtually silent to drive. We also saw that earlier with the SÃan. The system power of that car, which was still based on the Aventador, already exceeded 800 hp and you can bet that this will also apply to this Aventador successor. The unveiling is not long in coming now. Lamborghini recently showed the last purely V12 equipped cars and ‘in a few weeks’ the Aventador successor will arrive.
