ABN Amro is struggling with malfunction: mobile banking not possible

Many customers of ABN Amro have been experiencing problems with internet banking since Monday morning. The bank indicates that they are working on a solution.

ABN Amro internet banking malfunction

As soon as customers start the ABN Amro mobile banking app, they will see the following message: “Unfortunately, due to a malfunction, you cannot arrange your banking with the ABN Amro app, iDEAL and Internet Banking. Please try again later. We apologize for the inconvenience.” Logging in is not possible, so no payments can be made via the app, among other things. Internet banking via the PC also does not work.

also via Allestoringen.nl Complaints about internet banking via the bank are pouring in around 9.00 am. About 87% have problems logging in via the mobile banking app.

ABN Amro announced via Twitter that there are indeed problems with the app at the moment: “We are now investigating what is going on. It is therefore difficult to say exactly how long this will take. I would like to ask you to try again later. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Last week, ING’s mobile banking app faced similar problems. They were resolved the same day. For now, ABN Amro customers will have to wait until the malfunction has been resolved. The bank cannot provide a term for this.
