Acer presents the new Swift Air 16, a light Copilot+ PC for modern professionals who are on the road a lot. This Swift laptop with 16-inch screen weighs just under kilo (1) and must deliver powerful AI performance.

The IFA has started and I am present at this largest consumer electronics fair in Europe. This morning Acer was the first to kick off with a large press conference with many new models. I make the choices that are the most interesting for you, to start with the Acer Swift Air 16.

• The Swift Air 16 laptop is equipped with AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors and an AMD Radeon video card for Copilot+ PC experiences on Windows 11, and supplies striking responsiveness, possibilities for multitasks and efficient battery use for a battery life of up to 13 hours (2).
• It is made from a magnesium aluminum alloy and weighs less than 1 kilos (1), despite the large 16inch screen. This makes this laptop a great choice for anyone looking for a combination of performance and style, without too much weight.
• Available with an amoled screen option to a resolution of WQXGA+ for razor-sharp image, vibrant colors and intuitive interaction for creative and entertainment purposes.

The newest generation AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series Processors is at the basis of the Swift Air 16, up to a maximum of an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor. As Copilot+ PC, the Swift Air 16 unlocks access to AI experiences (3) such as Recall, Click to Do and improved Windows Search to streamline cooperation, content creation and productivity. Users also benefit from fast start -up times, large file storage and flexible performance during the use of demanding applications.
The Swift Air 16 is made for anyone who travels a lot and requires mobility without having to return in terms of performance. The elegance housing of the laptop is made from a magnesium aluminum alloy for reliable robustness and a weight of less than 1 kilos (1). This makes it one of the lightest 16inch laptops that are on the market. In addition, it is available in four color profiles.
Users can choose between a 16-inch WQXGA+ Amoled screen with a Refresh Rate of 120 Hz or a Wuxga IPS screen with a Refresh Rate of 60 Hz and an image ratio of 16:10 for a wide viewing angle and workspace. The Amoled option offers beautiful black tones, lively colors and striking brightness with full support of the DCI-P3 color range and peak clearance of 400 Nits.
Extra functions include a 2MP FHD IR camera with privacy closer, safe face recognition via Windows Hello and clear video calls, even in low light conditions. The device is also equipped with two speakers and two microphones for impressive sound quality.
The Swift Air 16 has various connectivity options for peripherals and external screens. It has two fully functional USB-C ports, a USB 3.2 Type-A port and an HDMI 1.4 port with support for HDCP. The wireless support includes Wi-Fi 6th and the newest Bluetooth standard for fast and stable connections.

Prices and availability
The Acer Swift Air 16 (SFA16-61M) is available in November in the Benelux for the suggested retail price from 999 euros including VAT. Exact specifications, prices and availability vary per region.
