Adjust notification sound in iOS 17.2
Apple released iOS 17.2 this week, bringing a number of useful features to your iPhone. The completely new Diary app is finally available and Messages has been expanded with new features. Another small adjustment in iOS 17.2 is changing the notification sound of your iPhone. You can now choose which sound you hear when you receive a notification.

You will then hear this sound in all apps that do not have their own notification sound. Previously this was never possible with the iPhone, but that is now finally changing! This way you are no longer dependent on Apple’s own notification sound, but you can choose which sound you like best. Do you want to give the notifications on your iPhone a different sound? Adjust notification sound on your iPhone
With iOS 17.2 it is finally possible to adjust the sound of the notifications on your iPhone. Very useful, because many people find the new notification sound of iOS 17 too quiet. Now it is not only possible to adjust the volume of the notifications, but also to choose a completely different sound. You do this as follows:
- Go to ‘Settings’ on your iPhone;
- Choose ‘Hear and feel’;
- Tap ‘Standard notifications’;
- Finally, select your new notification sound.
Don’t know yet which sound you want to choose? Then you can easily try them all out by tapping on the different notification names. It is also possible to purchase a new notification tone from the Tones Store. You pay 0.99 euros for this, the new notification sound will then remain on your iPhone. This way you can choose from even more notification tones for your phone!
