540 hp for the ultimate Giulia
Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA
So you thought the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is the highest attainable? Think again! Here are the Giulia GTA and GTAm.
Alfa Romeo celebrates its 110th anniversary in style with the unveiling of the Giulia GTA and GTAm. Both versions are equipped with a 540 hp version of the 2.9 V6 turbo engine, a plus of 30 hp compared to the Giulia Quadrifoglio. But that is not all.
Alfa Romeo has many visible and invisible parts made of carbon fiber. Not only spoilers and sheet metal, but also parts in the powertrain. The GTAm is the ultimate version and has polycarbonate windows, racing seats with six-point belts, a huge rear spoiler and a roll cage instead of a rear seat. This version optimized for the circuit is simply street legal. The “normal” GTA has a rear seat, normal windows and smaller spoilers, but is virtually the same as the Giulia GTAm.
The expanded wheel arches offer space for 20 inch wheels, which are 5 centimeters further apart than with the Giulia Quadrifoglio. Behind the forged wheels are carbon-ceramic brake discs with gold-colored calipers. The exhaust system, with centrally placed pipes, is from specialist Akrapovic.
Alfa Romeo promises a weight saving of no less than 100 kilos, so that the power-to-weight ratio comes to 2.28 kg per hp. The Giulia GTA sprint in 3.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h.
Alfa Romeo only builds 500 copies of the GTA and GTAm together. Only buyers who have an Alfa Romeo history are eligible for the limited model. If you are interested, you can make this known to the dealer from now on.
