Lighter and sharper
Alpine comes with a new top version of the A110. In the first week of October we will be introduced to the Alpine A110 R. The R in its name stands for Radical, so that is promising.
Alpine already supplies the A110 in various versions, but none are as fierce as the A110 R that it will present on October 4. On that day, the brand presents the A110R. The R in the name of the performance stands for Radical, and it seems like it for a reason. The Alpine A110 R is described as a car that offers a track experience. Will it be purely a track car? No Fortunately not.
The Alpine A110 R is completely street legal. The Alpine A110R will be lighter and sharper than the A110, A110 GT and A110 S. Whether the A110 R will also gain some horsepower compared to the 300 hp strong A110 S is not yet known at the time of writing. It is not inconceivable that Alpine can extract a handful of extra horsepower from the blown 1.8, although the gain will mainly be in matters such as weight reduction and aerodynamics. The Alpine A110R gets racing seats with six-point belts, a relatively exuberant set of spoilers complete with a large diffuser, special light metal, a modified suspension and possibly extra potent braking. The unveiling will take place during the Grand Prix at Suzuka, Japan.
