Yet another round of layoffs

Tesla is once again sending out a large number of employees. Last week, a round of layoffs by Tesla affected almost the entire Supercharger division, this time there are layoffs in the software, service and engineering departments.
At the beginning of this month, Tesla fired around 500 employees from its Supercharger charging station division. Apparently, the American manufacturer’s employee base has not yet been thinned out enough. On Monday, Tesla implemented a new round of layoffs. This time it affects employees of Tesla’s software, service and engineering departments. This is evident from reporting from the normally well-established Electrek, which is based on insiders.
It is not yet clear how many people will lose their jobs. At the end of April it became clear that Tesla intended to cut more than 10 percent of jobs worldwide. In total, Tesla employs around 140,000 people. Tesla previously cut more than 6,000 jobs in Texas and California, among others. Tesla also wiped out many jobs in Germany near Berlin: about 400.
