Apollo G2J

Hypercar builder Apollo is going to focus on sporty EVs. The brand proves this with the Apollo G2J: a driving prototype with which the German brand tests its latest technologies. Ultimately, several fully electric Apollo’s should come on the market.

With a new future comes – again – a new name, they must have thought at Apollo. The brand used to be called Gumpert, and its only model was Apollo. Later it was called Apollo Automobil and made the Intensa Emozione and Project Evo. Now the company continues under the name Apollo Future Mobility Group. The target? Becoming a leader in sporty, fully electric cars.

Earlier, the brand already showed the EVision Concept, although the Germans said little about it. Now the brand is revealing (a little) more about its future plans. It also shows the Apollo G2J: a driving prototype with which the brand has been testing its carbon fiber and EV technologies for two years.

According to the brand, the G2J hints at the design of Apollo’s future cars. The apparently fairly small car is designed a lot less extreme than the Apollo products that we already know, which may reveal that it also wants to appeal to other customers than the very rich who want something striking. The brand says it wants to bring several performance-oriented EVs to the market, but does not say when.
