Apple AirPods Pro 2 are definitely coming during Apple event
According to Mark Gurman, it is really going to happen: during the Apple event on September 7, Apple will show the AirPods Pro 2. That says the usually reliable Apple expert in his most recent newsletter.
In his newsletter, of course, he also discusses the iPhone 14 and the new Apple Watch Series 8. Gurman also says that he already announced the new AirPods Pro in 2022 last year. He now adds that Apple will introduce them on September 7.
AirPods Pro 2: New Features
There are various rumors about the new features of the AirPods Pro 2. For example, the earbuds would get an updated H2 chip for better sound quality and the earbuds will now last longer with a battery charge. In addition, the AirPods Pro 2 get a new charging case with support for the ‘Find My’ app.
The AirPods Pro 2 will most likely also have built-in motion sensors and support for the new bluetooth codec. This will allow you to connect the earbuds to multiple devices at the same time, such as an iPhone and Mac.
More compact design
As early as 2020, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Debby Wu said Apple was considering a more compact design for the new AirPods Pro. This would mean that the AirPods Pro 2 no longer have stems, just like the Beats Studio Buds.
However, recent rumors say that the AirPods Pro 2 will not get any external changes. So the AirPods Pro 2 probably still have short stems, just like the first generation AirPods Pro.
