Apple Car is still in development and the suppliers are now queuing up. According to the latest rumors, Apple is now in talks with manufacturers from South Korea.
Vendors for Apple Car are queuing up
It seems that Apple is still busy with the Apple Car. The company is currently looking for suppliers and manufacturers for the (final) production of the self-driving car.
According to a rumor from South Korean website ET News, Apple has held several talks with suppliers from South Korea. There, Apple told one of the companies to “double the production of electronic parts.” It is not yet known whether any deal resulted from this.
According to other rumors, current iPhone parts suppliers are also eager to be part of the Apple Car project. And it even goes so far as to create special teams to maximize your chances.
What does the Apple Car look like?
The website’s car experts Vanarama recently had a 3D model made from the Apple Car that you can view in the browser (also on your iPhone). They have taken the official patents of Apple for this to realize the look of the car. The great thing is that you can turn the car 360 degrees and even get in.
Such a concept of the Apple Car is nice, but when will the car really appear? According to the latest reports, Apple is still preparing for the production of Apple Car in 2024. For this, the tech giant has neighborhoods at LG Electronics, SK Group and Toyota.
However, it remains to be seen whether production can actually start in 2024. There is still a shortage of chips worldwide, causing further delays in development. In addition, the well-known Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo has previously indicated that he expects the launch to take place only in 2028.
Hopefully Apple (after choosing the suppliers for the Apple Car) can gradually start thinking about production.
