A forest does not do without animals. The constant work of its inhabitants shapes the structure and ensures its continued existence. And the large mammals play load -bearing roles.

The rain was soaked last night, but now, in the morning after, the sky slowly breaks open. The bicycle tires rush quietly over the damp asphalt. The path leads eastwards, to Moldau. The meadows start on the left a few hundred meters in front of the river. A fog bank hangs on the edge of the forest. Suddenly two large, rust -brown colored animals jump through the high grass: red deer. Both are male with vigorously developed consecrated; A beautiful and not everyday sight. The four -legged friends in the next piece of forest in a hurry. You are happy about the unexpected encounter and continue. The day started well.
