Apple does not release the best iPhone in the Netherlands (and this is why)

Apple has released the new iPhones from 2025! In September the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and the completely new iPhone Air appeared in stores. All devices are equipped with new processors, improved cameras and an improved battery life. The latter is an important upgrade, because this year Apple has presented the iPhone with the best battery ever.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max will last no less than 37 hours in playing videos. With the iPhone 17 that is up to 30 hours, with the iPhone 17 Pro you do up to 31 hours with normal use. This is a major improvement compared to the iPhone 16 series, so that you no longer have to worry about the battery life with the new iPhones from 2025. Now it appears that that battery can be even better, but Apple has not released the iPhone with the best battery in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Taller

The battery life of the new iPhones is even higher in the United States. Where you can do up to 37 hours here at the iPhone 17 Pro Max, that is two hours longer with American users. The battery of the iPhone 17 Pro also lasts longer in the American version. That is not very strange, because the battery of the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max is larger in the devices that are sold in the United States. With both the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the American version has a greater battery capacity. That logically also leads to a longer battery life. The difference in battery capacity is due to the opening for physical SIM cards, which is still present in the European version of the iPhone 17 series. In the United States, the iPhones only have support for e-SIM, leaving more room for the battery in the housing.

Best iPhone not in the Netherlands

Apple has filled the released space in the housing of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with a larger battery. The iPhone with the best battery life does not have Apple available in the Netherlands and Belgium, because here you can only get the iPhone 17 series with an opening for a physical SIM card. In Europe, users cannot (yet) opt for the iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max with only support for e-SIM and a better battery life.

With the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air we see no further differences in the battery life between the Dutch and American models. The iPhone Air is only available here with e-SIM, to keep the device as thin as possible. Of these iPhones, Apple has therefore released the best version in the Netherlands and Belgium.
