Apple Watch Pro rumor: here’s what to expect
It has been rumored for some time that Apple will probably release three new Apple Watches this year. One of these will be an extra sturdy (‘rugged’) edition that can take a beating. This version of the Apple Watch Series 8 will soon be called the Apple Watch Pro. This is what the usually reliable Apple expert Mark Gurman says in his most recent newsletter.
Gurman thinks the Apple Watch Pro will get bigger and the glass will be extra sturdy. He also expects the smartwatch to get improved tracking features for walking and swimming. The battery life gets better and it gets a thicker and sturdier housing. According to the rumor, Apple will also provide this Apple Watch Pro with a premium metal housing.
Gurman thinks Apple will choose the Pro name to expand its portfolio with more Pro products. Just as has been the case for some time now with the MacBook Pro, iPad Pro and AirPods Pro, among others.
S8 chip: secretly an old acquaintance
According to the rumor, the Apple Watch Pro will receive an S8 chip, this is the same chip as in the Apple Watch Series 7 and Apple Watch Series 6. He also expects the new smartwatch to get a sensor to measure body temperature.
The Apple expert also thinks that the new Apple Watch Pro will be a bit more expensive due to the larger display, the new sensors and the choice of materials. The prices of the Apple Watch Pro will then be around 900 to 999 euros.
