Apple will first come with the iPhone 16th this spring

Tim Cook’s teaser on social media for a new Apple product on 19 February is very likely to relate to the iPhone 16th (iPhone SE 4). Although Cook’s message confirms at least one product unveiling, it also suggests that Apple does not hold a full event in the coming weeks.

Apple has often used press releases in the past to introduce products. But it has also organized a whole event for relatively modest announcements. For example the ‘Scary Fast’ event in October 2023, where only the M3 MacBook Pro and iMac models were unveiled.

It is generally expected that Apple will announce various new devices this spring. In addition to the iPhone 16th, for example, there will be a new MacBook Air with M4 chip and we also expect updated iPads and iPad Air models. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg says the M4 MacBook Air within a few weeks should come to the market.

Apple has also held an event in February, but that is rare. In recent years, new products were generally announced in March. That was the case, for example, with the event in 2022, where the green iPhone 13, the iPhone SE of the third generation, the Mac Studio and the Studio Display were introduced.
