Lady Gaga closes her MAYHEM chapter with a spectacular finale: Apple Music presents Apple Music Live: MAYHEM Requiema filmed, updated performance of songs from the studio album MAYHEM, captured in an intimate setting that focuses primarily on vocal intensity. The show revives iconic songs from The MAYHEM Ball, transforming them into powerful, cinematic performances featuring piano, synthesizers and dramatic phrasing.
MAYHEM Requiem will premiere live worldwide on Apple Music on May 15 at 5:00 AM (Dutch time) and will be free for everyone during that broadcast; after that the concert film and the accompanying live album available exclusively to Apple Music subscribers, who can find both on demand in their library.
Lady Gaga: MAYHEM Requiem
MAYHEM Requiem is both a concert film and a live album in which Lady Gaga songs from MAYHEM reinterprets and performs in an intimate way; it does not offer a 1-to-1 representation of the studio tracks, but is an artistic re-rendition.
Requiem serves as a ritual conclusion to the MAYHEM era, with songs presented in a dark, intimate style, with the arrangements focusing more on atmosphere and emotion. The music has a darker sound than the original studio album, with pronounced grunge and synth influences that give the songs a rawer, industrial texture.
The whole represents the transition from chaos to tranquility and functions as a modern ‘Mass for the Dead’ for Gaga’s inner struggle, in which theatrical elements and vulnerability come together to strengthen the album’s story.
Exclusive to Apple Music
Apple Music presents the film as an Apple Music Live special and simultaneously releases a live album released in Apple Music, including a Spatial Audio master for a spatial listening experience. The on demand version of the film and the live album will be after the premiere exclusively for Apple Music subscribers.
Apple makes an exception during the global premiere: everyone can use the watch live stream for free in the Music or Apple TV app, for the Netherlands the live premiere is on May 15 at 5:00 AM local time. After that, the recording will only be available through Apple Music for paying subscribers.
The show was recorded on January 14, 2026 at The Wiltern theater in Los Angeles and will be available exclusively on Apple Music on May 15. Requiem closes The Mayhem Ball tour Lady Gaga which was last performed on April 13 in New York.
