Apple’s VR/AR glasses are currently only for sale in America. But according to rumors, the Apple Vision Pro will soon come to more countries.
Apple Vision Pro is coming to more countries
Reliable Apple expert Ming-Chi Kuo says that the Vision Pro will soon come to more countries. According to him, Apple will introduce the Apple Vision Pro in more countries before WWDC in June. Unfortunately, Kuo did not say which countries these are. We hope that the Netherlands (and Belgium) will also be among them, but it will probably be the turn of larger countries first.
The Apple expert also thinks that we should not expect a new version of the Apple Vision Pro before 2027. According to information based on his distribution channels, Kuo does not think that Apple has yet started work on a second generation of the Apple Vision Pro. A cheaper Apple Vision Pro is also not yet in the works. Kuo expects that Apple has already started the research and development of these variants of the AR/VR glasses.
Kuo expects that Apple will release a modified Vision Pro at the end of 2025 or early 2026. But the company mainly focuses on reducing costs and improving production. It is also not yet known in which countries it will be released for this version of the Vision Pro.
According to Kuo, the user experience will be exactly the same as the current model. The Apple expert thinks that Apple will not even announce these changes, except perhaps a reduced price.
Vision Pro: Apple’s AR/VR glasses
Apple announced the Apple Vision Pro during WWDC 2023. As of Friday, February 2, the VR glasses were available in American stores, but not in other countries. This is Apple’s first new device since the introduction of the Apple Watch in 2014.
The design of the Apple Vision Pro resembles ski goggles due to its curved design. The mixed reality headset runs on the new visionOS. This new OS version has been specially developed for the headset and includes modified versions of apps such as FaceTime and Photos.
