Apple has announced iOS 26 and the update brings a number of useful features to the Apple wallet on the iPhone. These are them!

Apple has unveiled iOS 26! The new software version for the iPhone comes with a completely new interface, which gives many applications an adapted design. That is not all, because with iOS 26 many apps from Apple are expanded with new functions. One of those apps is Apple Wallet, which gets a number of handy new features on the iPhone. Because of these functions, the Apple wallet becomes much easier to use from iOS 26.
In the new software version, the Apple Wallet gets more payment options when you use the iPhone to pay in a store. With iOS 26 you get the option to pay in installments or with saved points via Apple Pay. That possibility is not yet there, so saved points are often lost. The new feature of iOS 26 should change that at the Apple Wallet.
Improved entry cards
A big advantage of the Apple wallet is that you no longer need physical entry cards for your flight. Instead, add a digital entry card, which will automatically appear on the home screen of your iPhone before the start of the flight. The entry cards in the Apple Wallet on the iPhone will be renewed in iOS 26. For example, you will find relevant links at the entry map, with, for example, the (running) route to the correct gate of the airport in Apple maps.
Have you put an airtag in your luggage? In that case you can link that airtag to the boarding card in the Apple wallet, so that you can check with one tap on the screen where your luggage is. Release of iOS 26
With iOS 26, the Apple Wallet gets a built -in flight tracker, who collects all the details of your flight. You are therefore directly aware of any delays or other changes in the travel schedule. Do friends or family want to follow the flight? Then you can share this data at the touch of a button in the Apple wallet. The live activity of the flight appears on your screen and with the contacts with the shared flight data. This way you know exactly how long the flight will last and see contacts when you have landed.
With iOS 26, the Apple wallet on the iPhone is therefore better integrated with apps such as Apple cards and look for my.
