There is a handy new function in Watchos 26 that has to do with charging your Apple Watch – this is what you need to know about this.
Apple Watch Charging gets better
Apple has made Watchos 26 available to the general public on 15 September. If you have not yet installed the new operating system, you can now do that right away. To do this, open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap ‘General’ and then on ‘Software update’. Then follow the instructions that appear on the screen and Watchos 26 is installed on your Apple Watch.
The new Watchos 26 has a function that will let you know when you use an Apple Watch charger that is not optimized for the highest loading speeds. This is listed in a new one Apple-Support document. That way you immediately know if it’s time for a new charger.

Slow Charger
From now on a report ‘Slow Charger’ (slow charger) will appear in Watchos 26 in the ‘Battery’ battery ‘section, if your Apple Watch detects that charging can be improved. Examples of slow charging are shown in the orange, while fast charging speeds appear in the green.
Apple also notes that the warning ‘Slow Charger’ only means that you can get faster loading speeds with a charger with a higher wattage. It does not mean that something is wrong with the slower charger that you are using at that time.
Apple recommends a USB-C light adapter of 30 W, in combination with the magnetic fast charger-to-usb-c cable that was delivered to the Apple Watch for the fastest charging. You can currently buy the Apple USB-C light adapter of 30 W for 45 euros at MediaMarkt.
