Much thinner design

The Apple Watch Series 10 features the largest display of an Apple Watch to date, but that is not reflected in the thickness of the device. The design of the Apple Watch Series 10 is namely much thinner than we saw with the Apple Watch Series 9. The tenth generation of the Apple Watch is only 9.7 millimeters thick, that is ten percent less than the Apple Watch Series 9.

Apple has also reduced the weight of the smartwatch with the Apple Watch Series 10. The device weighs only 30 grams if you opt for the 42-millimeter aluminum version. The new smartwatch weighs a whopping twenty percent less than the Apple Watch Series 9. So the larger design of the Apple Watch Series 10 has not resulted in the device becoming much heavier.

Titanium casing on the Apple Watch Series 10

Another important change in the design of the Apple Watch Series 10 is the titanium casing. Where you could choose between aluminum or stainless steel with the Apple Watch Series 9, the latter has been replaced by titanium with the Series 10. Apple previously used the same material with the Apple Watch Ultra (2), but we now see a similar casing with the more expensive version of the Apple Watch Series 10.
