Housing

There is actually no difference in the housing of both Apple Watches. The dimensions are the same, the water resistance also (IP6X) and with both you have the choice of aluminum and titanium. The aluminum version of the Apple Watch Series 11 is also available in the SpaceGrijs color. The Apple Watch Series 10 does not have that color.

Screen

The screens of the Apple Watch Series 11 and Series 10 are also identical, with the same resolutions (46 mm: 416 x 496 pixels, 42 mm: 374 x 446 pixels) and brightness (max. 2000 Nits). The glass used by the series 11 is twice as resistant to scratches.

Performance

Even in terms of performance, these Apple Watches are not inferior to each other. For example, they both have an S10 processor, with the same amount of memory and storage space. In practice, both smartwatches ensure exactly the same experience. The new high blood pressure detection also comes to series 10, so that does not make any difference.

Sensors

Both Apple Watches are also equipped with the same sensors. There is a new gesture: the fast wrist movement. With that you can easily close notifications, stop a timer or turn off an alarm clock. This is a function of Watchos 26, so it also comes to series 10.

Battery

The battery has been improved compared to that of the series 10. The new series 11 lasts on a full battery of up to 24 hours. The series 10 does not get any further than 6 pm. In energy -saving mode, the series 11 holds it up for up to 38 hours. The series 10 to 36 hours. You charge both devices for around 80 percent in 30 minutes.

Conclusion: Apple Watch Series 11 vs Series 10

They are just a few things that have improved on the Apple Watch Series 11. There is a new color (spacegrijs) and an improved battery life. If you now have the Apple Watch Series 10, then there is no reason to switch now. The battery life of the series 11 is perhaps better, but that of series 10 is not bad in practice either. In any case, it is not worth spending extra money for a few hours more battery life.
