Aston Martin V12 Vantage shows the rear

Aston Martin does what it did a few years ago, combining the V12 of its largest model with the compact body of the Vantage. The result is called Aston Martin V12 Vantage and that car is now showing its rear.

The image, the least vague ‘still’ from a short teaser video on Twitter, clearly shows an Aston Martin Vantage. It is also clearly not a normal Vantage, because it has a huge wing on it. The thing rests on the tailgate, but fans out wide and high over the side screens.

That wing indicates that the new V12 Vantage may be more comparable to the GT8 and GT12 versions of the previous generation, than to the regular V12 Vantage from before. The latter was actually relatively subtle at the time and therefore did it without such a huge bookshelf on the ass. Incidentally, we were previously shown a similarly dark image of the front.

There is not much more to see than that, so nothing to tell. The Aston Martin V12 Vantage will feature the 5.2-litre V12 used in the DB11 and DBS. According to rumors, the block in this compact model tends rather to the power of the latter, which we suddenly have to take into account about 700 hp.
