ASUS has released the ROG Phone 5s and the ROG Phone 5s Pro in the Netherlands. The gaming phones both have improved specifications compared to the ASUS ROG Phone 5 and cost 999 and 1299 euros respectively.
ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro
The ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro are available for purchase in the Netherlands from today. The gaming phones have slightly improved specifications than the regular ROG Phone 5. For example, the Snapdragon 888 chipset has been exchanged for the overclocked Snapdragon 888 Plus and ASUS has reduced the delay on touch input from 300 to 360 times per second.
The screen of the phones has remained the same. Both the ROG Phone 5s and 5s Pro have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2448×1080 pixels, and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. That screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and includes support for HDR10 and HDR10+.
The gaming phones contain a 6000 mAh battery that can be charged with a powerful 65-watt adapter. They both also have buttons in the housing that are touch sensitive and can be used for gaming. The Pro has another perk, and that’s a cooler that should lower the gaming phone’s temperature when needed. The 5s is available in two memory variants. The 5s Pro is only available in a variant with 18 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB UFS3.1 storage.
