Audi is stretching the A3 Limousine. The longer A3 L Limousine grows in length by 5 centimeters, which is good news for the space in the rear seat.
In April this year, Audi lifted the new A3 Limousine to the podium, the sedan version of the new A3 Sportback presented this year. With a length of 4.5 meters, the A3 Limousine is already 4 centimeters longer than its predecessor, but this new extended version adds a nice little extra.
At 4.55 meters, the new A3 L Limousine is exactly 5 centimeters longer than the European model. The wheelbase of the A3 L Limousine has grown by four centimeters by 2.68 meters. Those extra centimeters fully benefit the space in the back seat.
As might be expected, the A3 L Limousine is reserved for the Chinese market. In China, brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, but also Audi and Peugeot sell longer versions of European models. The direct opponent of the Audi A3 L Limousine is the extended version of the Mercedes A-Class Limousine, which is 4.62 meters longer than the A3 L Limousine. BMW sells a sedan version of the previous generation 1 series in China.
