Audi’s first electric SUV will soon get a facelift. Thanks to a brand new set of spy plates, we can already show you the renewed Audi E-tron from all sides.

In 2018, Audi came up with the E-tron, an electric SUV for which it converted the e-tron designation used for plug-in hybrid engine versions into a model name. The now about three year old Audi is about to be facelifted.

It is not yet entirely clear what Audi has in store for the E-tron in terms of design. The front of the electric SUV is enthusiastically covered with camouflage stickers, although the placement of the stickers does indicate that things are going to change. It seems that Audi wants to visually bring the E-tron a little closer to the younger and smaller Q4’s e-tron. The headlights are still taped and the spur at the bottom seems to be preserved, but in any case count on a changed light signature. Audi seems to renew the grille and judging by the stickers on the back of the SUV, a few things are also finely ground here. The LED strip that connects the rear lights is still taped but will just return. Undoubtedly, Audi will also adjust the interior of the E-tron, we expect, among other things, new infotainment.

Audi recently managed to increase the range, but according to the rumor mill, the renewed E-tron will receive new battery packs next year. Whether that will actually be the case and what that might mean for the range is not yet known. Of course, the adjustments will not only apply to the regular E-tron, but also to the E-tron Sportback. We do not expect the revised E-trons to hit the market before the first half of 2022. Since the Dutch market introduction, more than 8,500 E-trons have been registered in our country. The car had its best sales year in 2019, when Audi sold more than 4,100 copies.
