Renewed E-tron

The Audi E-tron is (especially technically) significantly renewed and will probably also get a new name: Q8 e-tron. AutoWeek can exclusively report the first expected specifications.
Audi is working hard on an extensive update of the E-tron. The facelifted E-tron will probably get the name Q8 e-tron and especially the driving range should make a nice leap forward. The unveiling is near, but AutoWeek can already report exclusively what the Q8 e-tron is expected to have thanks to an insider. Please note, these are unofficial (Belgian) figures, so things may turn out slightly differently in practice.
In terms of powertrains, the Audi Q8 e-tron comes on the market in three flavors: as a 50, 55 and S, of course also as a Sportback. The entry-level version, the Audi Q8 e-tron 50, will produce 340 hp, will have a 95 kWh battery pack (as the current 55 has) and will travel 450 km according to current estimates. As a Sportback, the driving range is even higher, at 465 km. Fast charging is possible with 150 kW charging power.
The new Audi Q8 e-tron 55 goes one step further. Although it will be 408 hp, just as is the case now, it will receive a battery pack that has a capacity of 115 kWh instead of 95 kWh. That is good for an estimated range of 550 km, as a Sportback it comes 565 km. The latter is the version with the largest driving range. In comparison, the current E-tron with the longest range still gets stuck at 437 km. At the top of the food chain is the S version again. This is again good for 503 hp, but also gets the larger 115 kWh battery pack and is therefore estimated to last 465 km (474 km as Sportback). Both the 55 and S can charge quickly with 170 kW charging power.
Audi ‘Q8’ e-tron
According to our information, Audi will start production of the Q8 e-tron just before the end of the year and it will be available in the spring of 2023. Official information is not long in coming. After all, we expect the unveiling sometime in the next two months.
