A camouflaged Audi Q7 recently surfaced and now its sportier brother, the Q8, also appears to be waiting for a facelift. As with the Q7, the new headlights are particularly striking.

The Audi E-Tron is now called Audi Q8 e-tron, but that does not mean that it is over for the Q8 with fuel engines introduced in 2018. With more than 4 years on the counter, the end is not yet in sight for the sporty brother of the Q7, which is evidenced by the fact that Audi is preparing a facelift for it. As with the older Q7, we spot the biggest innovation on the nose. It was already a bit ‘fresher’ than that of the Q7, so the changes are more subtle.

You can mainly recognize the facelifted Audi Q8 by its headlights. They become slightly different in shape where they border the grille. They extend a little further towards the center of the front, so that the grille at the top is slightly more compressed. We also spot somewhat narrower but higher air intakes in the new front bumper. At the back of the Q8 it remains a bit more the same, although changed light units also stand out here. Where the rear lights of the Q8 still have separate elements at the bottom, they get a continuous stripe of LED lighting with the facelift.

The sporty top version, the SQ8, is also immediately available. It undergoes similar changes, the most striking difference being what happens at the bottom of the front bumper. Where on the current SQ8 the bumper has a kink at the bottom towards the grille, it is more straightforward with the facelifted SQ8. The result is that space is created for an extra air intake under the grille. For enthusiasts of the combustion engine, this facelifted SQ8 (and the Q8 in general) will be even more enjoyable, because with a possible successor it is done with fuel power. The Audi Q8 is currently available as a 381 hp plug-in hybrid with a 3.0 V6 (55 TFSI e) and a 462 hp version (60 TFSI e). The SQ8 has a 507 hp 4.0 V8 in its nose and the crème de la crème is the 4.0 V8 equipped RSQ8 with 600 hp.
