Award for the most powerful plug-in hybrid Audi Q8

Audi presented the plug-in hybrid versions of the Q8 to the world in October. The most accessible of the bunch, the Q8 TFSI e 55, was immediately added to the price list. Techzle can be the first to report the price of the more powerful Q8 TFSE 60 e.

The Audi Q8 55 TFSI e is the cheapest version of the Q8 out there. With a starting price of € 93,640 for the Pro Line version, the plug-in hybrid is even the only Q8 that is on the Dutch price list for less than a ton. This Q8 55 TFSI e is now accompanied by the more powerful Q8 60 TFSI e on that price list.

The 60 TFSI e has the same six-cylinder petrol engine under the hood as its less potent plug-in brother. In the Q8 60 TFSI e, the 340 hp and 450 Nm strong 3.0 TFSI V6 is supported by a more powerful electric motor. Where the 55 TFSI e makes it to a system power of 381 hp and 600 Nm, the 60 TFSI e with 462 hp and 700 Nm is a lot more powerful. The price of the Q8 60 TFSI e is € 119,300. That is considerably more than Audi asks for the 55 TFSI e, but there is an important side note. Where the 55 TFSI e is available from the Pro Line trim level and also has a Pro Line Plus and Pro Line S version, Audi only supplies the 60 TFSIe as a Competition. This packed version features HD Matrix LED headlights, seat heating front and rear, mood lighting, MMI navigation, Virtual Cockpit and three zones of separate climate control. The S-line sports package, which includes adaptive air suspension together with the S-line exterior package, is also standard.

The Q8 60 TFSI e sprints to a speed of 100 km / h in 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 240 km / h. This makes it smoother than the Q5 TFSI e, which needs 5.8 seconds for the same 0-100 sprint. Both plug-in hybrids have a 17.8 kWh battery pack. The electric range of the Q8 55 TFSI e is 47 kilometers. The range of the Q8 60 TFSI e is 60 kilometers. The top speed in electric mode is 135 km / h in both versions.
