The iPhone SE 2016 was sold by Apple for a number of years, but the company withdrew the affordable iPhone from sale in September 2018.

When a product has been out of print for more than seven years, Apple typically considers it obsolete. This is no different with the iPhone SE 2016, because the device has been withdrawn from sale for more than seven years since September. The fact that Apple has now labeled the first generation of the iPhone SE as outdated is not without consequences, because the device can no longer be repaired at the company.

iPhone SE outdated

The iPhone SE 2016 still has a 4-inch screen, a home button with Touch ID and an A9 chip. The second and third generations of the iPhone SE followed in 2020 and 2022, which are now also no longer available. Do you still have the first generation of the iPhone SE?
