The BMW 3 Series of the E30 generation. Once you saw it everywhere, now it is actually worth mentioning in this section. Even though this is a relatively ‘young’ specimen.
We thank Techzle reader Koen Smit for sending us the photos! Although some might not look up or around it, we understand that it paused when he saw this E30 Touring. At first glance, there seems to be a neat and – especially – quite unspoiled 3-series. We like to see that, especially since many of these cars fell into the hands of tinkerers and aspiring drivers. Not this one, but the fact that it is a 316 and a Touring has undoubtedly contributed to it. Unfortunately we do spot some rust here and there, especially on the tailgate, when we take a closer look at the car.
This copy dates from 1994 and that is of course very late for an E30. The E36 had even been on the market for a few years, but because the Touring took a little longer to arrive, the E30 Touring went on for a bit longer. 1994 was the very last year, this copy is one of the last of that generation. The current owner has owned it since 2018, not for very long, but still quite a while if we look at the history of this car. In its 27 years it has already worn 12 owners. Perhaps the car has finally found its ‘rest’ a bit.
