BMW Concept i4 fully in the picture!

Unfortunately for BMW, the Concept i4 appeared extensively the day before its planned unveiling date.

The Concept i4 is a fully electric concept car, a study model that is more than a futuristic show car that is primarily intended to introduce exciting lines. The Concept i4 acts as an apparently free production-ready forerunner of the all-electric i4, a Gran Coupé-like that will actually come onto the market next year.

BMW has already confirmed that the i4 to be produced in Munich in 2021 will receive an 80 kWh battery pack, good for a WLTP range of 600 kilometers. The electric powertrain itself should be 531 hp strong, good for a sprint from a standstill to 100 km / h in 4 seconds. The top speed is 200 km / h, not bad for an EV. The battery pack, with a 150 kW charger, can be charged to 80 percent of its capacity in around 35 minutes.

The Concept i4 has the striking new ‘grille’ that BMW already showed on the Concept 4 series. Because this Concept i4 has a fully electric power train, the kidney grille is closed. Incidentally, don’t be surprised if the future 4-series Gran Coupé (the regular 4-series Coupé and Cabrio must also be presented) broadly resembles this Concept i4.

In the interior, which can accommodate four passengers, we see a futuristic-decorated version of a relatively production-looking BMW interior. Striking things are of course the two large digital displays that get a place behind the steering wheel. The car is also equipped with a panoramic roof and the physical dial for the iDrive system.

Extensive information about this prototype will follow soon.
