BMW looks ahead to the i4, an electric four-door coupé. The production starts in 2021, but before that we get to see the Concept i4. With this, BMW wants to make the public enthusiastic about the i4.
Just about everything about the design of the BMW Concept i4 is minimalistic, except the grille. Because the study model is a very realistic representation of the model that BMW will bring to the market next year, you can assume that the striking grille remains. Light colors, natural materials and smooth lines can be found in the interior. BMW mounts a slightly curved screen on top of the dashboard, the layout of which can be adjusted to three positions: Core, Sport and Efficient.
The figures that BMW promises for the i4 are impressive. Thanks to an 80 kWh battery pack, which is incorporated in the bottom of the car, the car has a driving range of 600 kilometers. The electric motors produce a power of 530 hp, with which the i4 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4 seconds. The top speed of the electric car is limited to 200 km / h.
BMW has developed a specific sound for i4, allowing pedestrians and cyclists to hear the car arrive. You should be able to recognize all electric BMWs by this sound in the future.
