Undoubtedly there will be a number of frowned faces in Bavaria, now that the BMW iX3 suddenly appears on the internet in full regalia. Through a mysterious Instagram channel, someone shares the first two photos of the all-electric SUV.
The unveiling of the BMW iX3 will not be long, but it did not seem quite the idea that we already saw the car today. However, the iX3 can suddenly be seen via the unofficial route. On Instagram are on a completely new channel with barely followers suddenly these two photos, which seem too good to be fake.
As expected, the iX3 is basically recognizable as an X3, but with the necessary i-features. The blue accents on the ‘kidneys’ and the side sills and the lack of large air intakes in the front bumper clearly show that this is the fully electric alternative of the regular X3. The special wheels also belong exclusively to the iX3. All in all, it remains fairly true to the draft version’s design.
Fortunately, what is hidden under the carriage is already known. BMW recently announced that the iX3 uses a 286 hp electric motor that drives the rear wheels. An 80 kWh battery pack is responsible for the power supply. According to BMW, a range of 440 kilometers (WLTP) is possible with the newcomer. The main competitor, the Mercedes-Benz EQC, far exceeds it. No doubt we will hear more soon, now that the biggest surprise is already over.
