The new BMW M4 Convertible was presented earlier this week, directly as a Competition with M xDrive all-wheel drive. Now the price of the M4 Convertible is known.
As a convertible, the new BMW M4 is currently only presented as the extra fierce Competition M xDrive. That means that you not only get the 510 hp version of the 3.0 in-line six-biturbo, but also the four-wheel drive specially developed by BMW M. The open M4 manages, partly due to its fabric roof, to keep the extra weight to a minimum compared to the closed variant and therefore only needs two tenths longer to shoot from a standstill to 100 km/h. In 3.7 seconds it is already done.
For the performance you do not have to leave it compared to the M4 Competition Coupé, although you have to dig a little deeper into the pouch. The BMW M4 Competition Convertible has a price of € 144,040. This makes it a mere €9,000 more expensive than its Coupé equivalent, which costs at least €135,613. Incidentally, the state treasury benefits well, because for every M4 Convertible sold, € 87,100 in bpm is added. The M4 Convertible will be in the Dutch showroom at the end of July. It is not yet known whether there will also be milder versions, but that is certainly not inconceivable. To illustrate: the regular BMW M4 Coupé costs at least € 124,291, so roughly speaking, the starting price of the M4 Convertible could drop by about € 11,000 if there is a 480 hp version with only rear-wheel drive.
