BMW has a special limited edition ready for the X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition. The cars will be available as a First Edition, making the already striking SUVs even more exclusive.
The superlative of the superlative. This is the best way to describe both exclusive BMWs. The X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition are anything but modest by themselves. The 4.4-liter biturbo V8 comes out of 625 hp in the upper M version, 25 hp more than in the ‘normal’ X5 M and X6 M. An adaptive M suspension, extra powerful braking and an adapted steering keep things manageable for the driver. Normally the Competition versions are also a bit thicker than the regular M’s and the First Edition adds a little bit more.
To begin with, they are available in two exclusive colors. Frozen Dark Silver (seen on X6) and Frozen Marina Bay Blue. In addition, the wheels of the First Edition, 21-inch at the front and 22-inch at the rear, are finished in Jet Black. All around we also see additional carbon parts, such as special mirror caps and (with the X6) a carbon rear spoiler. If you open the hood, you will also find a carbon fiber cover plate on the V8. In the interior you also know that you do not just have an X5 M or X6 M, thanks to the two-tone leather upholstery that matches the two body colors. Contrasting orange stitching, Alcantara upholstery on the seat cheeks and headliner made of the same material are the icing on the cake.
No special edition without even more exclusivity, so only 250 of this First Edition will be available per model. It is not yet entirely clear what the special versions cost. Normally the X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition will cost at least € 216,416 and € 218,836 respectively. You can bet that there are still a lot (ten) thousands of euros on top for the First Edition.
