Many people think they know how to best use WhatsApp. Yet there are still plenty of tips and tricks that you can use very well in WhatsApp that you may not know. For example, there are tips for more privacy and how to find messages more easily.
Below you can read how to make a word or text stand out in a message in WhatsApp. With our tips and tricks you can make a word or text in WhatsApp bold, italic or strike it through.
• Make bold: put your message between two asterisks (* *) to make a word or text bold, like here with PC Active:
• Italicize: place your message between two underscores (_ _) to italicize a word or text, as here with PC Active
• Strikethrough: put your message between two tilde characters (~ ~) to strikethrough a word or text. This is useful if you are editing a post and want to edit something that is incorrect without removing it.
You can also bold, italicize and strikethrough a word or text at the same time. Then you have to use the correct order, otherwise it won’t work. For example, if you want to make a text bold and italic, start with an asterisk and then an underscore, then the word or text and then another underscore and finish with an asterisk. If you first put an asterisk after the word or text and then the underscore, you will only get a bold word or text.
