Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition

Brabus does little more than spoon 900 hp strong V8s in cars like the E-, S- and G-class. The latest project from the extravagant German tuner is called P 900 Rocket Edition and is perhaps even more insane than the company’s most recent creations.

In the middle of last year, Brabus lifted the Rocket 900 based on the G-class onto the tuning stage. That was a G-class with a version of the well-known 4.0 V8 from Mercedes-Benz boosted to 900 hp, which was also drilled up to 4.4 liters for the occasion. Now we meet the P 900 Rocket Edition, a crazy and very strong G-class with an open body.

It is certainly not the first time that Brabus has come up with a fierce G-class ‘pick-up’. The company once had a six-wheel variant in its range and in the middle of this year Brabus introduced the 900 XLP to the light of day. That 900 XLP was a G-class limited to ten pieces with an open body that stood quite high on its legs. Off-road tires, an off-road chassis: everything was there to make the 900 XLP a sand beast. The new P 900 Rocket Edition is a combination of that hefty 900 XLP and the aforementioned Rocket 900, a 2,720 kilogram beast hanging low against the asphalt.

Brabus drills the 4.0-biturbo-V8 from Mercedes-Benz up to 4.5 liters and adjusts, among other things, the engine management system. The result: 900 hp and 1,050 Nm. With that, the pick-up can reach a speed of 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. Its top speed: 280 km/h. The always Rocket Gray painted P 900 Rocket Edition is on 24-inch light metal. The wheelbase of the P 900 Rocket Edition is 50 centimeters longer than that of a regular G-class and is 5.38 meters in total, 69 centimeters longer than a G-class (without spare wheel). The flattened pick-up naturally has a body kit and is even equipped with exhaust tailpipes with a diameter of eight centimeters on the side.

The Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition has a basic starting price in Germany of just under €650,000. So expensive toys.
