Not satisfied with the power that the absolute top version of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class brings to the road? Don’t worry, Brabus has an even more powerful version of that hot lightning in the range.
Mercedes-Benz has two 45 AMG flavors of the A-class on the menu. The Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic, with its 387 hp and 480 Nm of blown 2.0, is already a blow more powerful than the 306 hp 35 AMG, but the A45 S 4Matic with its 387 hp and 500 Nm is just as thick over it. For the German tuner Brabus, more is always better and so it pumps an extra dose of horsepower in that top version.

Brabus adjusts the engine management of the A45 S and provides the Mercedes-AMG directly with what it calls its Brabus BoostXtra adapter. That last unit allows the hothatch to sound like it has a massive blow-off valve on it. The engine power of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine is increased by 29 hp and 50 Nm to 450 hp and 550 Nm thanks to the modifications. This makes the A45 AMG, christened by Brabus B45, suddenly just as powerful as a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S of the current generation. In fact, the four-cylinder in Brabus’ powerhouse delivers another 20 Nm more to the Porsche.

The Brabus B45 sprints to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds. Its top speed, like that of the A45 S, is electronically limited to 270 km / h. Brabus equips its B45 with 20-inch light metal if desired and puts it up to 3 centimeters closer to the asphalt. Of course, the B45 is packed with the necessary Brabus badges. Extra striking bumper work is omitted, but that does not seem like a problem at all, given the not exactly subtle appearance of the original.
